Baked Elephant Heart Pluots

Ingredients:
- 6 elephant heart pluots, washed, halved and pitted
- 2 tablespoons honey
- ¼ cup red or white wine
- 3 thin slices of lemon or orange
Step 1:
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Step 2:
Toss the pluots in a bowl with the honey, wine and citrus slices. Arrange the pluots cut side up in a baking dish just big enough to hold the fruit in a single layer. Cover the dish with foil.
Step 3:
Bake the pluots for 15-30 minutes until they are tender. Cool and store the pluots with their syrupy purple liquid. Serve these pretty pluots with ice cream or yogurt, or with roasted meats like pork and duck.
