Alpenglow
1 Bouquet - Approx. 10 in wide × 16 in tall
That pink light the mountains keep.
Named for the moment the peaks turn rose at dusk, this is the softest piece of the collection: pink-beige preserved stoebe, silvery-rose strawflowers and blush globe amaranth, warmed by cloth-of-gold yarrow and threaded with true dried lavender. Little wild daisies wander through it. The palette does what alpenglow does — it shifts as the light does, from pink to gold to something in between — and it keeps a gentle lavender scent.
Featured Botanicals
Preserved stoebe — Feathery pink-beige and green sprays, preserved to stay soft — sourced for their exceptional quality.
Strawflower 'Silvery Rose' — Antique-pink everlastings with a pearl sheen.
Yarrow 'Cloth of Gold' — Deep golden umbels, naturally dried.
Globe amaranth (Gomphrena) — Rose-pink buttons that hold their color for years.
Dried lavender — True lavender — brush past it and the scent lifts.
Where the Flowers Come From
The yarrow and strawflowers were grown and dried with care on a small Illinois prairie farm; the ammobium comes from regenerative fields along Oregon's Willamette River; and the preserved stoebe is sourced from Japanese preservation ateliers known for exceptional, delicate craftsmanship.
Longevity & Care
These are lasting decorative pieces — delicate, made to be admired, not tended. Kept well, they hold their beauty for one to three years and often longer, mellowing into softer, antique tones. Keep out of direct sunlight and away from moisture (never add water); dust now and then with a soft brush or a cool hair dryer on its lowest setting.
Composed by hand in Aspen, Colorado in an edition of two. No two pieces are ever identical — the second bouquet is a sibling, not a copy.
