Rare black beans from the Mexican state of Chiapas. Rich and dense without being stodgy, with a unique bean broth. How is it possible to think Rancho Gordo needs to add another black bean? Well, taste is a huge motivator for them. Their partners at Xoxoc in Mexico sent them bags of beans sourced in Chiapas from local farmers. They were first blown away by their appearance: beautiful and shiny, looking almost like glazed pottery. After cooking them, they were immediately smitten.
Important Allergen Notice: This harvest was processed using equipment that also handles wheat. Some wheat grains may be present among the beans. If you have a wheat allergy or sensitivity, please avoid this particular batch. Following our standard practice with all crops, we advise inspecting for natural debris, sorting carefully, and rinsing thoroughly before use.
