Named for the firewheel — the red-and-gold wildflower that spins through open prairie — this piece sets flame-red globe amaranth and coral gypsophila against deep silver-green preserved eucalyptus, kept honest by clouds of white German statice and ivory helichrysum. Golden billy balls and heliopsis turn through it like sparks. Compact and generous at once, it sits beautifully in a low vessel where the eucalyptus can sweep wide and the reds can do their quiet fireworks.

Globe amaranth (Gomphrena) — Clover-like blooms in saturated pink — a true everlasting that keeps its color.
Preserved eucalyptus 'Cinerea' — Silver-dollar leaves, glycerin-preserved to stay soft and supple, with a trace of that eucalyptus scent.
Preserved gypsophila — Fine coral-pink mist through the heart of the piece.
German statice — Crisp white constellation filler that dries like lace.
Helichrysum everlasting — Ivory papery blooms, naturally dried.

Where the Flowers Come From
The helichrysum was curated from a beloved dried-flower atelier that has served Pittsburgh's Strip District for over twenty-five years; the heliopsis was field-grown on a regenerative Oregon farm. The eucalyptus and gypsophila are botanically preserved by specialists so they keep their suppleness and depth of color for years.

Longevity & Care
These are lasting decorative pieces — delicate, made to be admired, not tended. Kept well, they hold their beauty for one to three years and often longer, mellowing into softer, antique tones. Keep out of direct sunlight and away from moisture (never add water); dust now and then with a soft brush or a cool hair dryer on its lowest setting.

Composed by hand in Aspen, Colorado in an edition of two. No two pieces are ever identical — the second bouquet is a sibling, not a copy.
