Tim Mueller established Riverdog Farm as a small 2-acre organic vegetable operation in Napa County. Since relocating to the Capay Valley in 1996, Riverdog has operated under the belief that nurturing our workforce, environment, and livestock contributes to building a more sustainable food system that benefits all.

As one of the first organic farms to sell at the Berkeley Farmers’ markets, we have been helping to bring organic, seasonal, local food to the fore of the sustainable food movement for over 25 years.

Since 1990 Riverdog has used a system of compost, crop rotation, cover cropping and hedgerow planting to keep the soil healthy and to promote a healthy ecosystem around the farm. Animals are integrated into their farming system by providing natural fertilizer for orchards and fields and are all raised on organic pasture.
