When green gives way to gold and wine.

Named for the month the mountains begin to turn, this piece holds that exact moment: wine-dark celosia plumes and rose-pink globe amaranth set deep inside a frame of boxwood and baby eucalyptus, the green still standing but already giving way. Peach statice, mixed strawflowers and sprays of pale yellow preserved broom bloom soften the drama, and a hand-torn silk ribbon in deep magenta finishes the stem bundle. It is the richest, most saturated composition of the six.

Celosia plumes — Velvet brick-red feathers — the deepest note in the piece.
Globe amaranth (Gomphrena) — Rose-pink everlasting buttons, naturally dried.
Statice 'Apricot/Peach' — Hand-harvested, dye-free, dried the old way: bunched and hung.
Preserved broom bloom — Fine sprays in pale 'angel yellow,' delicately preserved.
Boxwood & baby eucalyptus — The evergreen frame — structure, depth and a soft grey-green hush.

Where the Flowers Come From The celosia, strawflowers and boxwood were field-grown on regenerative acres in Oregon; the globe amaranth comes from a family farm that has grown premium dried flowers since 1996; the peach statice was hand-harvested and dried without dyes on a small family homestead; and the broom bloom is preserved in Japan, where the craft is at its most delicate.

Longevity & Care These are lasting decorative pieces — delicate, made to be admired, not tended. Kept well, they hold their beauty for one to three years and often longer, mellowing into softer, antique tones. Keep out of direct sunlight and away from moisture (never add water); dust now and then with a soft brush or a cool hair dryer on its lowest setting.

Composed by hand in Aspen, Colorado in an edition of two. No two pieces are ever identical — the second bouquet is a sibling, not a copy.
