A single-farm Ethiopian coffee from Kayon Mountain Coffee Farm in the Guji zone — 500 hectares of shade-grown, organically managed coffee situated 510 kilometers south of Addis Ababa, where acacia and indigenous trees protect the crop and feed the compost that fertilizes it. Owner Ismael Hassen Aredo has run the farm with his family since 2012, investing in community infrastructure and paying above-market wages to keep his best pickers coming back year after year — the kind of operation where the care at the farm level shows up directly in the cup. Fruity and complex with a juicy sweetness that opens up beautifully on a pour over, cooling into lingering aromas of jasmine and lime.
